New Salsa Class with Baila Society

Peridance Announces New Partnership with the Baila Society!

Baila Society will now be teaching

Two-Hour Open Level Salsa Class, Friday 7:00-9:00
Intro to Salsa class, Saturdays 3:30-5:30


Peridance will become the official home of BAILA Society Dance Company when the center moves to its new state of the art dance space near Union Square in the summer of 2009, with BASo running a full suite of NY Salsa and Latin Dance classes, including body movement, footwork, partner work, spinning, music theory, stretching/conditioning and performance classes.

Lisa Viola's, Taylor Style Modern

Lisa Viola teaches three Taylor Style Modern classes a week at Peridance Center.

Monday 4:00-5:30
Wednesday 4:00-5:30
Friday 1:00- 2:30

Viola danced for Paul Taylor for 15 years and is the recipient of a 2007 Bessie Award for Sustained Achievement. Utilizing Mr. Taylor’s vast movement vocabulary, she emphasizes a strong foundation in technique, musicality, and a sweeping use of space and offers a unique and challenging approach to the Taylor style.

Limon Class with Alan Danielson


Alan Danielson, School Director of the José Limón Institute is teaching intermediate level Limon classes at Peridance Center.

Classes are:
Monday and Wednesday 5:30-7:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday 1:00-2:30 pm
