"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Marlena Wolfe is making it big and helping others make it too"

Two staff members at Peridance Capezio Center have been featured in Dance Informa's 2012 May issue!
Administrative assistant Leigh Schanfein interviewed Peridance's Certificate Program Coordinator Marlena Wolfe, a dancer who dreamt big and achieved what most dancers would only imagine to aspire to in their careers.  Marlena was a member of Robert Battle's Battleworks Company for four years where she flourished.  Not only was she featured in a solo titled Ella that was created specifically for her, but she quickly moved up in the company, becoming his rehearsal assistant!  Following her stint with Battle, she began to choreograph for her own group of dancers and teach master classes.  All her experiences ultimately led her to becoming the coordinator of the two-year pre-professional training program at Peridance Capezio Center.  She holds this job while simultaneously rehearsing and performing for choreographer Camille A. Brown - don't forget she has managed to do all this before the age of 30!

Growing up on a the farm in Ohio, she knew that New York City had a lot to offer and moved here to have it all at her fingertips.  Marlena Wolfe is a truly inspiring woman who took everything into the palm of her hands and is now offering it back to her own students.
