Guest Teacher Stephanie Batten Bland


Guest teacher, Stefanie Batten Bland, comes to Peridance this Spring to teach classes in contemporary technique.

A native New Yorker, currently living in Paris, Stefanie Batten Bland mixes the subtleties of Europe with American self-confidence.

Ms. Bland was a soloist for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and Lar Lubovitch. She came to Europe in 2002, guesting for Pina Bausch Tanz Theater Wuppertal(GER), Georges Momboye (Fr), Project Linga (Swiss), Pal Frenak (HUN) and Angelin Preljocaj in Julie Taymor's Opera "Grendel".
Her initial work as a choreographer was awarded first prize for young choreographers at The Biennale National de Danse du Val-de-Marne in 2005, and is will be guest choreographer in Poland's "So You Think You Can Dance".
