Peridance is proud to host a 2 week workshop with the Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company!
Week 1: Jan 11-15 10:00-11:30 Technique Only
Week 2: Jan 18-22 10:00-11:30 Technique / 11:30-1:00 Repertory
Week one of the workshop will be lead by the Company's Education Coordinator and Rehearsal Assistant, Leah Cox, who has been a member of the Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company since 2001.
Associate Artistic Director, Janet Wong, will teach technique and repertory during the second week of the workshop. Ms. Wong became rehearsal director of the company in 1996 and associate artistic director in August 2006.
"Class will explore the rigorous connection that exists between moving and thinking and the ways in which an intentional use of the mind while moving creates richer experiences, new and unexpected opportunities, and a deeper understanding of the body."

Peridance Announces 2010 Summer Intensive
Peridance Center's Summer Intensive is a four-week comprehensive training program designed for dancers ages 14-18, whose goal is to develop and increase their level of technique, strength, self-confidence and artistry. Over the course of an intensive four-week period, dancers are encouraged to recognize and develop their artistic selves. Participants of the Intensive are given the unique opportunity to become immersed into Peridance Center's renowned training program and its diverse community, and will walk away with an amplified understanding of movement, performance skills and a fresh sense of artistry. The Program culminates in a pre-professional final Showcase, presented at Peridance's new in-house Salvatore Capezio Theater.

Limon Technique & "Missa Brevis" Rep Workshop
Carla Maxwell, Artistic Director of the Limon Dance Company, returns to Peridance to teach a week long workshop in Limon Technique and Repertory.

Carla Maxwell joined the Limon Dance Company in 1965 and became it's Artistic Director in 1978. As Director, she received a 1995 Dance Magazine Award, a Bessie in 1998, and a 2002/2003 Isadora Duncan Award for her re-staging of José Limón’s Psalm.
Limon's Missa Brevis will be the focus of the repertory portion of the workshop; a piece that the Company will be performing in China this December.
